An 11 year old was losing her hair. Her pediatrician and dermatologist suspected Short Anagen Syndrome. Her parents were watching her hair become more and more thin with breakage and almost no regrowth. On top of daily meltdowns, she had skin that kept breaking out. Her CBC, thyroid, and iron panels all came back normal. Be every standard test, nothing was wrong. When she had an HTMA test, the real story began showing up. Copper was running high. Zinc was low. Potassium was tanked. There was a little aluminum, cadmium, and lead sitting underneath. The problem was never really her hair. Her hair was just the way her body was showing us how depleted she was.

What did she do? We rebuilt the fundamentals. Zinc and magnesium. Potassium-rich foods. Protein at every meal. Gentle detox support. Stead work on her nervous system. Nothing extreme. After 6 months of foundational work, her zinc to copper relationship was back in balance, her copper came down, the calcium ‘shell’ resolved, and her body is showing better digestion and stronger detox capacity. She is still in the tender rebuilding stage now but the direction is unmistakable. The meltdowns have dropped off, her hair is growing back with stronger texture, her breakouts have faded, and she is saying yes to new foods again. One HTMA test changed it all despite what all her diagnostic testing done with her medical doctors could do.

The problem was never her hair. It was her foundation. A foundation can be rebuilt at any age when you know what needs to be built to make it strong.
