What is Red Light Therapy?
Red light therapy is a combination of visible red light and invisible infrared light to help with energy support (cellular ATP prodution, collagen production, wound healing, pain management, and overall systemic and cellular health).
Red light falls into the visible part of the light spectrum between 630-750 nm on the electromagnetic spectrum and is readily absorbed by surface tissues and cells. For this reason, red light on its own is often used for skin health, wound healing, etc.
Near-infrared wavelengths fall into the invisible part of the light spectrum between 750 and 1400 nm, the wavelengths of light right after red visible light. Infrared light is felt at thermal energy or heat (like that emitted from a fire or incandescent light bulb).
Although red light combined with near-infrared light holds more power when used together, infrared light has a longer wavelength and can penetrate more deeply into the body. It can supply beneficial light nourishment deep into tissues, organs, and cells.
Key Benefits Of Red light/Infrared Light Therapy
*Increased cellular energy and cellular ATP production
*Reduced inflammation
*Supports soothing aches + pains
*Improved mental acuity
*An overall feeling of “wellness”
What Nanometer Red Light Does Dr. Cartwright Use?

What A Red Light Therapy Session Looks Like
Dr. Cartwright will place the red light lamp near the areas of concern. After awhile, heat will be generated but it is only a warm sensation. Although it will penetrate through clothing, it may be best to remove the clothing in the area of concern for deeper red light therapy penetration. The session lasts 30 minutes in each area. For best results, this needs to be done 3-4 times a week. During the session, feel free to read a book, listen to music, or enjoy an auricular therapy or sound healing session.
