To book in-person speaking events:
SETUP
Preferable equipment includes a way to use PowerPoint slides (projector or large TV screen with any applicable electrical cords), a table to set up equipment, and a headset microphone.
At the events which are drivable, Amanda would like to sell her authored books. An area for this is required. She can bring a table and tent for outside use if needed. She will also need to bring an extra person (usually her husband) to man the book sales while she is teaching classes.
FEES
It takes time and money to travel to events. All Amanda asks for are expenses paid for driving 3-7.5 hours from the tricity TN airport or airfare. If any expenses need to be paid, the preferred method is through PayPal (plus any PayPal fees) or a mailed cashier’s check.
***If driving within 3 hours of the tricity TN airport and able to sell authored books and other herbal supplies, no fees applicable. She takes a chance and hopes the book and herbal supply sales will cover all expenses.
***If location is between 3.5 and 7.5 hours of the Tricity TN airport and driving is applicable, fees include:
- Mileage/gasoline expenses
- Lodging expenses (Hotel of her choice) for day before event (to set up), during days of the event, and day after event (depending on the length of the drive)
- Food expenses (To cover 3 meals daily) for two people
- Homestead expenses ($85 daily to cover expenses of having to hire a livestock pet sitter)
- (Will need a vendor booth to sell authored books and herbal supplies)
***If flying out of the Tricity TN airport to a location beyond 7.5 hours drive, fees include:
- Rental car (economy is fine)
- Airfare (tricity TN airport to location and from location to tricity TN airport)
- Food expenses (To cover 3 meals daily) for one person
- Time away from homestead/work ($85 daily)
CLASSES
The majority of classes taught at events are ‘How to Use Herbs Medicinally’ , ‘Herbal Animal Care’, ‘Using Herbs on a Homestead’, and ‘Top 10 Survival Herbs’. She is not limited to only these classes. Other classes can be taught if desired.
Each class is approximately one hour long in length. A general demonstration is given with the ‘How to Use Herbs Medicinally’ class but if more in depth and hands-on demonstrations are required, more than one hour is required for that class.
HANDS-ON DEMOS
A general demonstration is provided for the ‘How to Use Herbs Medicinal’ class. If you would like a more hands-on demonstration approach, reasonable accommodations need to be made for equipment/herbs/etc. to be used by participants. Examples of this are hot plates, water, sweetener, cups, olive oil (or plant based oils), double boilers, pots, beeswax, dried herbs, herbal oil containers, herbal salve containers, amber color glass jars with tight fitting lids, amber color tincture bottles with dropper and spray insert, hand towels, rubber bands, masking tape, sharpie marker, 80-100 proof vodka, etc. This list would allow each participant to make an herbal tea, herbal oil, herbal salve, and the start of an herbal tincture. Herbal balls and herbal capsules would be separate or excluded.

DISABILITY
