HOW TO USE HERBS MEDICINALLY

In this class, I speak on the history of herbs, the importance of herbs, reasons why you should consider using herbal medications, the importance of boosting your immune system, how to dry herbs properly, how to correctly make an infusion/decoction (tea), how to make herbal balls, how to make an herbal oil, how to make an herbal salve, how to make a poultice, and how to make an herbal tincture. If time permits, I do go into using these methods of teas, balls, oil, salves, poultices, and tinctures to treat burns, bleeding, infections, and puncture wounds.

Using power point does make a difference with this class due to how I relate the medical complications with the herb. Along with power point slides, I do a general demonstration with pots, jars, herbs, etc. If power point isn’t available, I do ask that you allow me to bring my own screen, projector, etc.

HERBAL ANIMAL CARE

In this class, I speak on the history of herbs, how veterinarians used herbs until FDA started restricting herbs, reasons you should go herbal for your pets and livestock animals, pet dosing, livestock dosing, methods to get animals to consume herbs, prebiotics vs probiotics, herbs for parasites in animals, herbs for bacterial infections in animals, herbs for your animals immune system, herbs for respiratory infections in animals, herbs for inflammation and arthritis in animals, herbs for digestive issues in animals, herbs for diarrhea in animals, herbs for colic in animals, herbs for urinary tract issues in animals, herbs for incontinence in older female dogs, herbs for ringworm in animals, herbs for mastitis in animals, herbs for bites and stings in animals, and herbs for wounds in animals. I then take you through four different clinical cases which prove how good herbs can work both internally and topically on animals.

TOP 10 SURVIVAL HERBS

In this class, I discuss the importance of being prepared in the times we are now living in, history of herbs, the reasons to use herbs, and I discuss my top ten survival herbs needed in a survival situation. With each herb, I provide a general description, growing conditions, and true stories of individuals who have used the particular herb to save their life. I have many charts and graphs in which will help many individuals with knowing which parts of the herb to use for what condition and which herbs to use in certain health conditions.

HOW TO START A LOCAL HOMESTEADING COMMUNITY

In this class, I share my experience of how I started a local Homesteading Community where we meet once a month and have monthly homesteading/prepping/preparedness classes. I go over everything from how to find places to meet, how monthly meetings are arranged, and topics that can be discussed. I talk candidly about how we made our local homestead community group a success.

No power point is needed for this class.

HOW TO SEED SAVE

In this class, I discuss differences between annuals, biennials, and perennials. I also show the different types of vegetable seeds and how to collect each one.

This class can be done without PowerPoint, depending on the class size. Smaller classes could be demonstration only and larger classes would need to be demonstration along with PowerPoint.

LONG TERM FOOD STORAGE

In this class, I show how to properly store food long term such as beans, rice, etc. I also demonstrate gamma lids on food grade 5 gallon buckets, oxygen and moisture absorbers, and the proper storage environment.

BEING HEALTHY IS APART OF PREPPING!

In this class, I candidly discuss how being healthy is apart of prepping. I discuss my weight loss journey and how that impacts prepping and homestead activities. I also discuss how you can use the products you get from your animals and land to create meal plans which will help you become healthy.

This class does not require Powerpoint however having before and after pictures are useful.

BENEFITS OF RABBITS ON A HOMESTEAD

In this class, I discuss all the benefits of rabbits on a homestead. I also include advantages and disadvantages of colony systems, hutch systems, cage systems, and tractor systems. I also discuss general rabbit maintenance and how to incorporate their meat and fur into your homestead.

NATURAL REMEDIES FOR COLDS AND FLU’S

In this class, I go over herbs and other natural remedies to help when you are feeling under the weather. I also show how to make these remedies in the form of teas and tinctures. Elderberry syrup is also discussed and how this incredible berry can ward off colds and flu’s at the first signs.
